With the bounty of the land
You should know that in our home there is only room for the most select ingredients, chosen in their places of origin, in the cradle of the earth.
This is why La Despensa de Palacio is always scented by the “queen’s” fine cinnamon, so named because it is that set aside in former Ceylon for the queen of England. Its mixes are crowned with the queen of spices, sublime Bourbon vanilla, picked from the plants climbing the volcanic slopes of Piton de la Fournaise on Réunion island. Our century-old casks hold the famous Pedro Ximénez wine, picked from raisins dried on the slopes of La Axarquía in Malaga and the no less famous region of Montilla-Moriles; every day we welcome the famous lemons from Vélez-Malaga and their unmistakable waves of scent. Tastes are also mixed in the clay pots of exquisite rosemary honey from the mountains of Estepa, delicate orange blossom honey from the orange groves of the historic region of Palma, we toast the tastiest pistachios from the land of the Simeto Valley under the shade of majestic Mount Etna, and the prized Largueta almonds from the Alhama mountains, and we only refine the juicy Marcona almonds grown in the Mediterranean breezes of the Levantine coast, and… cocoa, which we believe deserves a section all to itself.
